W TYM ROKU PO RAZ DRUGI POSTANOWILIŚMY WZIĄĆ UDZIAŁ W MIĘDZYSZKOLNYM KONKURSIE MATHS IN ENGLISH ORGANIZOWANYM PRZEZ SP 42.
19 grudnia odbyły się eliminacje szkolne, w których wzięło udział 17 uczniów zmagając się z 8 zadaniami matematycznymi w języku angielskim. Najlepsi okazali się Cezary Galiński z 6c i Lena Tybura z 6a i to oni 5.04.2017 będą reprezentowali naszą szkołę w tym konkursie.
Najtrudniejszym okazało się zadanie z geometrii o treści:
Mrs. Gardner has beds for peas and strawberries in her rectangular garden. This year, by moving the boundary between them, she changed her rectangular pea bed to a square by lengthening one of its sides by 3 meters. As a result of this change, the area of strawberry bed reduced by 15 m2. What was the area of the pea bed before the change?
